The surrounding hills provide excellent lookout points across the city and beyond. Alternatively, you can ride to the observation platform of the Black Mountain Tower and enjoy sweeping panoramic views from almost 60 metres in the air. Watch Native Kangaroos Hopping Around
Pay a visit to the Campbell Park Offices to see collections of wild kangaroos that live freely in the area. They venture onto the grassy areas from the nearby nature park in the evenings, spending their days in the more shaded park. Another top spot to see kangaroos is the Pinnacle Nature Reserve.

Those who want to spend time in some of Australia’s fabulous natural scenery can do so really easily from Canberra. There are huge areas of national parklands filled with a wealth of flora and fauna. Some great spots include Tidinbilla Nature Reserve, Corrin Forest, and Namadgi National Park, where you can enjoy rock climbing, biking, hiking, and scenic driving.
